Jo Jones and Kay Miller have been working with children for 25
years. They are both teachers, as well as mothers and they both
share a philosophy about nurturing their children. In 2008, they
decided to set up a company that would reflect their mutually held
beliefs - and flibberty was born

“It all started when we wanted to buy creative, innovative and
hands-on products for our kids - and they simply weren’t there,”
Jo explains.

“Children need the chance to explore, invent and use their
imaginations,” says Kay, “by using real tools and materials to build
their own special den in the back garden, or by furtling through
fabrics with different textures and weights to produce an outfit for
a doll.”

“Which is why we decided to create our own collection of the kinds
of things we wanted to buy for our own children,” Jo adds, “fun,
unique and lasting products that lure kids away from the TV and
the games console and encourage them to use their hands and
their imaginations.”
